Eaton Corporation Engineer - Modelling and Simulations - Structures in Hadapsar, India

What you’ll do:

"Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) – Center for Digital Engineering (CDE) has an Engineer open position. The primary responsibility of this role is to analyse various Eaton products for static structural, vibration and dynamic performance. Individual will be required to partner with global teams, understand the design intent, develop and validate static structural, vibration and dynamic analysis models to substantiate the engineering designs.

The primary functions for this position includes:

• Collaborates with technology and product teams to define problem statements.

• Understand product and evaluate requirements (CTQs) of system, sub-systems and components by collaborating with internal and external customers.

• Development and deployment of Digital Prototype (DP) methodologies (simulation capabilities) in static structural, vibration and dynamic analysis. (linear FEA, fatigue life and damage prediction, modal, harmonics and random vibration fatigue,transient analysis, multi body dynamics).

• Deploy the developed DP methodologies in Eaton product lines to strengthen “analysis first” strategy"

"1. Coordinate with stakeholders to develop static structural, vibration and dynamic analysis requirements for wide range of Eaton products.

  1. Interpret, summarize and communicate static structural, vibration and dynamic analysis (linear FEA, fatigue life and damage prediction, modal, harmonics and random vibration fatigue, transient analysis, multi body dynamics) results to global audience and provide technical and/or design recommendations.

  2. Contribute to maturing analysis/simulation capabilities in static structural, vibration and dynamic analysis.

  3. Develop test plan wherever necessary to verify simulation model and validate analysis approach in correlation with test outcomes."

Qualifications:

Master’s degree (MS/MTech/M.E) in Mechanical / Automobile / Aerospace / Applied Mechanics Engineering from reputed institute (Full time course)

Maximum 1-2 years of experience in static structural, vibration and dynamic analysis domain of mechanical products in multinational engineering organization.

Skills:

Thorough knowledge of Finite Element Analysis, Strength of Materials, Machine Design, Theory of Failures, Theory of Vibration, Vibration Fatigue, impact/transient analysis, Multi-Body Dynamics and Hands on experience on CAE software programs such as ANSYS-Workbench, LS-Dyna, ADAMS.

Candidate should have excellent English communication (oral and written) and presentation skills and should be a good team player.
