Job Description: Interventional Radiology Technician/Tech

Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, body-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist. -Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons. -Groin management post-intervention.

Education Requirement:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Required Certifications & Licensure: ARRT license required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Must have 2 years of experience.
  • Interventional Radiology experience is required.
  • Minimum 1 year prior experience as a licensed Radiology Tech required.
  • Strong knowledge of Floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines.
  • The ability to identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases.
  • The ability to critically think during interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist.
  • The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical records and send images to Sectra/PACs system.
  • Strong communication skills using closed-loop communication.
  • The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for caseload.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate information to patients required.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks required.
Schedule Notes: 4 10hr Day shifts a week.
  • Mandatory Call.
  • Call requirements are every 4-5 weeks- they are on call for 7 days starting Monday 730pm- Monday 730am.
  • Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes for Traumas.
