Google Vendor Manager, Cloud Sales Vendor Management Organization in Gurugram, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in management consulting, operations consulting, business development, or similar roles.

  • 8 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.

  • Experience in global vendor operations management, program and project management, shared services, or global business services.

  • Experience in sales go-to-market (GTM) in the information technology industry.

Preferred qualifications:

  • PMI or Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).

  • COPC certified.

  • Experience with spreadsheet software, SQL, and data analysis tools.

  • Experience executing complex strategic and operational initiatives, with excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

  • Ability to adapt to dynamic, entrepreneurial environments, and successfully take projects from conception to launch with a focus on results.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, site leadership, cross-functional teams, and vendor representatives across various levels.

As a Cloud Sales VMO (Vendor Management Organization) Vendor Manager, you will manage vendor operations that provide critical support to the Sales organization. You will oversee one or more vendors globally at scale.

In this role, you will help shape and execute a scalable and customer-centric vendor strategy, own vendor relationships, and oversee vendor delivery. You will build outcome-based operating governance structures that ensure vendors are delivering excellent quality of service. You will also partner with business leaders from Sales operations to add value to their business objectives and deliver on vendor requirements.

In this role, you will work closely with Extended Workforce (xWS), Google Procurement Organisation (GPO), Legal, and Engineering teams to drive standardized, scalable, and repeatable processes.

This role supports the North America region. Working hours will be on a night shift.

  • Partner with assigned business groups as a trusted vendor management advisor, understanding needs and crafting effective vendor solutions. Execute the Vendor Management Organization’s strategic roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Manage vendor performance, partnering with stakeholders to optimize operations and ensure peak efficiency. Provide complete extended workforce onboarding support, including administrative tasks (e.g., SOW negotiations, PO management, etc.) and client escalations.

  • Use data to identify operational gaps, develop innovative solutions, and collaborate across functions to overcome challenges. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

  • Partner with global executives to implement complex strategic vendor management initiatives. Lead regular business reviews to proactively identify improvement areas, resolve issues, and build high-performing vendor teams.

  • Maintain weekly aptitude on budget vs. forecast vs. actual spend and reporting accuracy. Manage vendor operations variance between forecast and actual spend.
