Primary Responsibilities:

  • Requirement gathering, translating the high-level solution design into detailed design artifacts and ensuring they are maintained and reviewed throughout the project life cycle

  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with all the stake holders to achieve the milestone deliveries as per the project timeline

  • Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed

  • Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of Mainframe developed projects and to modernize mainframe application code using new gen technologies like JAVA/KAFKA/Rest Services/PYTHON/MONGODB etc. wherever feasible to save cost

  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced developers

  • Designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value

  • Provide technical support and consultation for Mainframe application, other new gen technologies and infrastructure questions

  • Lead large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives

  • Design and implement application enhancements in collaboration with different teams

  • Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business

  • Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences

  • Provide technical leadership to the team Mentor and guide them whenever required

  • Participation in SCRUM meetings, Design reviews, Test Case reviews, and Production Support readiness reviews for new releases

  • Achieves harmonious working relationships with business partners and within team

  • Ensuring excellent delivery quality within project timelines keeping in mind customer satisfaction

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • Deep knowledge on JCL, COBOL, VSAM, DB2 and CICS

  • Background in Healthcare industry applications development and support

  • Well versed in writing JAVA/Python APIs integrated with Mainframe

  • High proficiency in spring boot-jpa/ spring -cloud/ kubernetes or a negligible learning curve on picking them up

  • Proven ability to support integration efforts for project requirements using kafka/ ibm mq/ restful webclients

  • Proven ability to support development on rest apis and soap based front controller applications

  • Proven ability to participate in end to end testing of services/ applications

  • Proven ability to report weekly status on assigned and ongoing engagements to IT leads and business partners
