TYPICAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Qualification:

• MBA with a specialization in Marketing

Experience:

• 5-8 years of experience in Sales & Marketing/ Brand (any addnl experience in innovation marketing/ sales is an added advantage)

• Experience in Category Customer Marketing Manager or Brand Marketing (brand marketing with commercial experience), sales/ innovation experience can be an added advantage

Knowledge & skills:

• Commercial Performance orientation

• Commercial experience and customer / shopper understanding

• Commercial planning capability - bottom up and top down target setting

• Good understanding of Customer Value Chain and P&L levers

• Shopper understanding and insight and TTL growth drivers

• Engaging and inspiring commercial teams and deliver cycle briefs

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Commercialization Plans

  • Writes the commercialization plan for assigned projects - partners with stakeholders to define our ambition and recommends plans for growth drivers, investment, shopper marketing, customer proposition and executional coordination for optimal performance outcomes

  • Inputs into customer value chains (price, margin) and volume and execution targets (distribution, ROS) that demonstrate good understanding of customer, shopper, category needs.

Shopper Marketing

  • Develop and deliver all Shopper marketing plans and assets for assigned Innovation projects based on stop-engage-land principles.

  • Partner with commercial stakeholders to bring their input into shopper marketing plans for optimal execution and performance outcomes.

Navigate Process

  • Develop a good understanding of the navigate process and project-manage your assigned Innovation projects for DIFOT execution every time.

  • Ensure Commercialization inputs are accurately and clearly articulated in all gates post G3.

Launch execution and performance

  • Engage Commercial teams and oversee cycle briefing and execution of all launches, working with the regional and cluster teams to inspire and bring clarity/alignment to standards of execution and target setting/tracking.

  • Define tracking metrics for all launch and oversee tracking and diagnosis, recommending course correction where needed.

  • Communicate launch performance across the business providing insight into learnings.

  • Complete post launch evaluation on an ongoing process culminating in high quality Gate 6 approvals.

  • Continue to oversee Innovation project performance until official hand over from Innovation to Brand.
