Application Packager Job Description

Build/Manage library of applications, supporting 13,000+ Windows/macOS workstations across a heavily locked-down enterprise. Applications will be managed in Microsoft Intune (for Windows) and Jamf (for macOS).

The Application Manager will:

• Automate the installation and configuration of applications, updates, patches, and fixes

• Automate the removal of applications as required

• Design, develop, coordinate, and manage application packaging projects

• Design and document scripts (PowerShell and VBScript) used to package applications and updates

• Work with business users to gather requirements and customize deployment experience

• Diagnose deployment issues

• Effectively prioritize requests to add new applications to Intune/Jamf or update/remove existing packages

• Collaborate with internal software engineering teams

• Respond to internal support tickets

• Troubleshoot and resolve reported issues

• Work with internal teams and customers, as well as external vendors as required

• Participate in development and documentation of departmental processes and best practices

• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in information technology

• Good to have experience in packaging applications with Intune or Jamf

• Good knowledge of Windows and/or macOS

• Good knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy

• Good knowledge of PowerShell

• Experience with Intune, App-V Sequencer, Jamf, AdminStudio

• Experience with VBScript, Bash, Python and other scripting tools and languages

• Strong understanding of modern device security

• Understanding of network topology

• Understanding of RBAC and scope tags

• Fluent in English, written and spoken

• Able to be effective as an individual and part of a team

• BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
