Western Colorado University Curriculum System Analyst in Gunnison, Colorado
Responsibilities:
The Curriculum System Analyst at Western Colorado University is responsible for adding and maintaining curriculum in the Workday Student Information System and the annual catalog. This role involves managing the configuration and testing of academic programs (new and historical), overseeing business process configurations, building dashboards, and writing reports related to academic records. The position requires cross-functional collaboration with many departments to address integration and data conversion needs, ensuring seamless functionality across systems. Key responsibilities include developing advanced eligibility rules and conditional logic in reports and curricula to ensure precise application of degree audits and business processes while maintaining data integrity. Identify and recommend process improvements and optimizations for technical stability. Provide operational and strategic recommendations and lead implementation efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree with three years of experience in higher education, curriculum management, IT services, and/or applicable project management. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively, both simultaneously and in parallel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master s Degree or advanced credentials, experience with training and communicating within diverse populations, and expertise in Workday Student, Excel, Banner, Ellucian and/or Slate with working knowledge in creating complex dashboards and report writing.
Compensation:
$25.00 - $26.44 per hour (the annual equivalent of $52,000-$55,000). The position is FLSA non-exempt and overtime eligible. Western offers an excellent benefits package including shared premiums for a comprehensive health insurance plan, dental insurance, retirement plan, life insurance, and other insurance options. After one year of employment, Western provides free tuition for dependents enrolled full-time in undergraduate programs for up to four years.
