This is a temporary seasonal role with a work schedule of four days per week, from 4:30 PM to approximately 11:00 PM.
Position Overview
Train drivers are responsible for driving battery powered trains with a minimum of 2-3 passenger carts through the park during the festival operating hours. This position requires a detailed oriented individual with careful attention to safety. The ideal candidate is expected to be enthusiastic, professional, and friendly all while having a positive attitude towards guests and team members. This position may require standing and sitting for long periods of time in all types of weather and is seasonal which requires working flexible hours: weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Job Functions

Maintain a positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude towards guest and team members at all times.
Provide outstanding customer service to event attendees and team members.
Consistently treat all guests and team members with respect and contribute to a positive work environment.
Completes daily cleaning and inspects train for basic maintenance needs.
Notifies Manager on duty of any train or route issues.
Acquires ride tickets from guests and assists proper loading of all riders.
Monitors and responds to inappropriate or unsafe guest behavior.
Entertains and/or Interacts with guests as they load, unload, and ride the train.
Ability to safely drive a festival battery powered train.
Respond promptly to guest inquiries while actively listening to needs.
Resolve customer complaints and provide relevant information.
Adhere to all City policies and procedures
Ability to pay attention to detail
Take a proactive role in maintaining high show standards in guest engagement, visual standards, and housekeeping.
Other duties as assigned

Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
Education and Experience
The completion of a High School degree or an equivalent, such as the General Education Development (GED). Experience operating equipment or festival rides is a plus.
Required Licenses or Certificates
Must possess a valid driver's license.

Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are both indoors and outdoors.
