Insight Global Quality Control Manager (CQM-C) in Gulfport, Mississippi

Job Description

Perform daily site inspections to verify that construction activities are adhering to contract requirements and specifications.

Review contractor submittals like material test reports, shop drawings, and quality control plans to ensure compliance.

Identify and document quality deficiencies, non-conformance issues, and potential problems during construction.

Communicate quality concerns to the contractor and requesting corrective actions.

Maintain detailed daily inspection reports, documenting observations, corrective actions taken, and non-compliance issues.

Prepare and submit regular quality control reports to the government quality assurance representative.

Maintain records of testing and inspection results, including documentation of material certifications.

Skills and Requirements

Have at least five years proven Quality Control management experience in the construction industry, preferably with knowledge of relevant construction practices and standards.

Completion of the USACE-approved "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" course and passing the final exam to obtain the CQM-C certificate.

This is provided through the Army Corps of Engineering

Complete a 30-hour OSHA Construction safety class or equivalent.

Complete current First Aid/CPR/AED training.

A strong understanding of quality control methodologies, including inspection techniques, documentation procedures, and non-conformance reporting.

Ability to lead and manage a quality control team, ensuring adherence to contract specifications and project quality standards.

Effective communication skills to clearly convey quality concerns to contractors and project stakeholders.

Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and relevant industry standards. Experience with Navy projects null
