About the Role:

Manages overall payroll functions and ensures that employees are compensated accurately and on-time. Performs accounting functions related to verification and reconciliation of payroll/benefits records, employee leave information and retirement. Supports payroll-related accounts and reconciles accounts within accounting systems. In addition the position ensures that payroll taxes and withholdings are properly booked and reported, ensuring the compliance of internal controls.

What you will do:

  • Prepare definitive payroll spreadsheets, indemnization, payroll adjustments, bonuses.

  • Verify the proper booking of payroll and analyze information booked.

  • Work in collaboration with IT to enhance payroll program to minimize inputs

  • Prepare the required changes (income, leave, adjustments, prizes, commissions, overtime, employee sales, tickets, asecop, bonuses, etc.), before the final preparation of the month's payroll.

  • Prepare payroll payments by company code and verify its proper processing at the banks and bank applications.

  • Make changes to the system according to requests (ISR, SS, etc.)

  • Support improvement and efficiency initiatives

  • Balance and report of factory Time and Attendance, overtime, vacations, shifts, etc.

  • Calculation and preparation of labor settlements.

  • Support requests from the tax area, internal, corporate, social security and SOX audits.

  • Support is requested to coordinate different projects, such as volunteering, improvements in the work environment, etc.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all policies and standards

What do you need for the position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Business Engineering or related field

  • At least 2 years Payroll processing or accounting desirable

  • Advance use of excel and databases

  • English proficiency (80%)

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Central America labor laws desirable

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Analytical ability

  • Knowledge of SAP desirable
