HP Inc. Subscription Platform Product Manager in Guadalajara, Mexico
Job Summary
This role is responsible for driving the success of software products by envisioning, strategizing, and executing on product management initiatives. The role shapes the direction of essential business applications and tools, ensuring their optimal functionality and performance. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, translating business and solutions needs into actionable requirements, and overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle .
The Subscription Platform Product Owner will be responsible for enabling the subscription offerings of HP products and services. The Product Owner will make data-driven decisions and collaborates with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Architects, Solution Managers to drive the platform functionality from concept to definition and planning through production & release.
This person will be responsible for translating the Product requirements from Solution Management to Engineering and defines the stories, acceptance criteria and details them for the teams to get groomed for developing them.
This role acts as a glue between Product and Development
Responsibilities
Discover, analyze, plan, and deliver requirements with a focus on core shared services.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand needs and priorities, translating them into product requirements and specifications.
Create and manage the product backlog, including feature analysis, prioritization, and documentation as user stories, grooming them for development.
Participate in quarterly feature planning, sizing, and commitment sessions.
Own tactical delivery of current features while managing the future backlog.
Work with cross-functional teams to build a scalable, secure, and reliable subscription platform.
Provide inputs for roadmap planning and definition.
Advocate for stakeholders during specification and development stages.
Manage the product lifecycle for platform functionalities.
Lead the development of detailed business requirements to create comprehensive product specifications and designs.
Coordinate with internal and external software teams to drive the roadmap for various software deliverables.
Transform functional plans into operational processes and guide execution.
Provide leadership to the software team and collaborate with other managers to guide feature development and prioritization.
Orchestrate product launches with coordination across PR, executives, and fellow product management team members.
Track and report key metrics to drive future product developments.
Guide junior team members/ junior Product owners on product backlog management
Maintain a thorough understanding of the market, competitors, and open source technologies.
Helps management for hiring, grooming the talent
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field.
