We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Designer in our Columbus, Ohio office (change link to applicable office/market page on IMEG Careers site). As a Senior Electrical Engineer 3, you will be responsible for performing calculations, system design, equipment selections, reports, progress submittals and BIM instructions for their project to assure project completeness and accuracy within the allocated period and monetary budget. All of these are done in accordance with IMEG design standards. Principal Responsibilities Design portions of a project related to electrical systems according to code and IMEG standards Research resources for commercially available equipment Provide good client relations, project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files Coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers Documenting design decisions, meetings, and instructions from client promptly while monitoring project design progress Assist with review of all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information Review design methods, procedures, changes in scope, and client correspondence with the Lead Engineer Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, and their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs, CAD software and BIM Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups Routine local travel with occasional overnight stays Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree (Science) or equivalent A minimum of 1-3 years of qualifying experience This position is not eligible for sponsorship Physical Requirements Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises So, what are you waiting for?
