Groton Flex Security Officer

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule: 30 - 40 Hours Per Week assisting with post coverage with availability for at least two shifts and weekends ( 1st/2nd Daytime/Evenings, 1st/3rd Daytime/Overnight )

Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut State Guard Card

• Active Connecticut State Driver's License - Reliable transportation & Clean Motor Vehicle History

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1 year of Security Experience preferred- Military/ Law Enforcement experience may substitute

• Calm, polite, and professional demeanor.

• Reliable and self-motivated.

• High level customer service

Job Description: Provide a safe and secure working environment for all employees and visitors by patrolling and monitoring the client facility on walking and mobile tours.

Specific Functions: The Flex Officer is a multipurpose position that fills vacant posts as necessary on all shifts. Those posts can be, but not limited to, roving patrol, lobby assignments, escorts or gate assignments. Additionally, the Flex Officer responds to, and documents calls for service, calls for door alarms, and other incidents occurring within the client site. The Flex Officer patrols the client site and conducts security rounds mobile and walking tours. Assist as needed with escorting outside emergency services for emergencies on the campus. Provide scheduled break coverage to officers working other posts. May be utilized for additional security duties.

Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers.
