Valley Cooperative Association (VCA) is searching for an Inventory Specialist who has a keen eye for detail and the ability to creatively resolve issues.

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Specialist to join our team. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the inventory of our entire warehouse, managing customer warehouse pickups, and maintaining accurate records of all stock items. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of inventory management.

Typical Hours: 6am-2:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular inventory checks of the entire warehouse.

  • Assisting customers with warehouse pickups in a timely and professional manner.

  • Performing physical inventory counts of every pick bay to ensure accuracy.

  • Maintaining all location stickers within the warehouse and printing new labels as needed.

  • Recoding voice check digits to maintain data integrity.

  • Slotting seasonal and pre-order items according to designated storage areas.

  • Managing replenishment quantities to optimize stock levels and prevent shortages.

  • Demonstrating regular and predictable attendance to meet operational needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently.

  • Willingness to spend occasional time in freezer areas as required.

  • Proficiency in operating a pallet mover safely and efficiently.

  • Capability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch as necessary during inventory tasks.

  • Comfortable working in moderate conditions including confined spaces, high elevations, noise, safety equipment, and slippery surfaces.

  • Frequent walking, standing, and use of hands and fingers to handle inventory items.

  • All employees are subject to annual performance reviews conducted by the Department Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in inventory management or related field preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, inventory management software, and Excel preferred.

  • Equipment experience a plus.
