Job Description:
Responsible for complete electrical or mechanical installation process analysis, improvement, documentation, and management on commercial/military aircraft and ground stations.
Essential Functions:
Routinely interfaces with customer, program management, project engineering, design engineering, systems engineering, planning, test, and production personnel on process and planning matters.
Provides training and technical oversight as required to all levels of production workers, supervisors, and management.
Works with management to develop and adhere to production budgets and schedules required to accomplish assigned work. Provides regular status updates for ongoing work efforts to keep management and customer informed
Intermediate professional with practical knowledge of job area. Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area.
Work consists of making adjustments to systems and processes to solve problems. Identifies, defines and addresses general problems that are typical within the immediate job area. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience or standard procedures and basic analysis.
Applicant must have experience with aeronautical electrical systems or mechanical systems, design/integration engineering, and production liaison efforts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technical/procedural writing skills
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Access, Project)
Must be able to walk to and from flight line, work in aircraft hangar environment, and board/exit various aircraft
Must be self-motivated and possess high aptitude for problem solving
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering and minimum of 5-8 years related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
Candidate must at a minimum possess a security clearance at the secret level and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI access
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with electrical and mechanical CAD tools
Understanding of basic aircraft mechanical systems
Knowledge of aircraft configuration management practices
Experience with electrical harness or mechanical fabrication and assembly techniques
