Job Description: Weld Electrician II Journeyperson

  1. Primary Responsibilities : Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems, industrial equipment, and fixtures while adhering to local and national codes.

  2. Diagnostics and Repairs : Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems using test equipment, hand tools, and schematics; correct issues to minimize downtime.

  3. System Testing : Use devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to test electrical systems and circuits for safety and compatibility.

  4. Installation : Plan and execute the installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and components, ensuring compliance with job specifications and safety codes.

  5. Safety Compliance : Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards or defects and advise management on potential risks. Follow established safety protocols, including OSHA and MIOSHA standards.

  6. Maintenance : Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, ensuring optimal functionality, and repair or replace faulty wiring and components.

  7. Technical Expertise : Work with PLC systems under guidance, read and interpret electrical schematics, and handle tools like oscilloscopes and ammeters proficiently.

  8. Training and Collaboration : Direct and train apprentices in electrical tasks and collaborate with teams to support production flow.

  9. Physical Requirements : Work in elevated positions using ladders, lifts, or scaffolding, and run conduit systems as required by code.

  10. Professional Skills : Demonstrate a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, reliability, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork.

Steel-toed shoes are required onsite.

Pay Rate: $33.50-$37.50 per hour

Pay Details: $33.50 to $37.50 per hour
