The Quality Inspector is involved with the assurance of product quality through testing and verification of the production processes. This position is responsible for compliance with applicable standards as well as customer requirements. This would involve collaboration, brainstorming, and problem-solving skills. Also expected is ensuring other employees are trained to understand quality and safety requirements as well as helping create solutions as part of a team.

  • Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

  • Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.

  • Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.

  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.

  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs.

  • Prepare for and participate in audits including AIB, ISO, customer, etc.

  • Investigate quality problems and help with determining Root Cause/Corrective Action.

  • Perform necessary housekeeping duties to support 6S and AIB standards.


  • Use well lab equipment such as Mettler-Toledo Titrator, moisture analyzer, HPLC, FT-IR, UV-VIS, viscosimeter

  • Associates degree in Sciences or 2 year Technical degree in Analytical Testing or relevant experience preferred

  • Self- directed and self- motivated to ensure activities are completed in a safe and timely manner to support production activities

  • Must be able to sit, stand, lift, reach, climb, bend and stoop on a daily basis, with good hand - eye coordination

  • Must have a high school dipolma or GED
