What You Will Be Doing

Become a part of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics F-16 Program in Greenville, South Carolina, and contribute to a team-oriented manufacturing environment! As a Production Operations Specialist, you will support the F-16 Structural Assembly manufacturing process, gaining valuable experience in structural maintenance and fabrication. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills while ensuring the highest standards of production quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with proficiency evaluations and play a vital role in observing, instructing, and training technicians on the assembly line.

- Develop a thorough understanding of principles, concepts, and standards related to aircraft manufacturing, as well as industry and company best practices.

- Maintain a proactive approach on the assembly line by identifying areas for improvement in structural assembly processes and procedures.

- Collaborate with team members to provide additional training, and make recommendations to management for addressing performance issues.

- Contribute to problem-solving efforts related to complex challenges in the aircraft manufacturing process, leveraging established precedents and policies.

- Support corrective action investigations and root cause analysis while advising on and implementing innovative solutions and process improvements.

- Assist in lean processes and 6S initiatives to enhance operational efficiency within your area of responsibility.

- Successfully demonstrate proficiency in the standards, principles, and techniques required for this role.

• Must be a United States citizen.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience relative to aircraft manufacturing, structural assembly, or modification.

• Experience in structural layout process and assembly working to fuselage station, water, and butt lines shown on engineering documents.

• Experience reading and interpreting detail, blueprints, lay-out sketches, process standards and specifications

• Experience with understanding aircraft work instructions.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline

• 5 years aircraft structural assembly or modification experience with F-16 structural repair experience highly desirable.

• Communication and interpersonal skills for the purpose of communication and instruction at all levels.

Standard Job Description :

Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering. The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
