In support of the Gas Power Business, this controls engineering position in the Control Systems Technology organization is responsible for collaborating with both the Gas Turbine Controls NPI and Requisition teams to develop and maintain the Gas Turbine Controls Standards.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
The Lead Gas Turbine (GT) Controls Standards Development Engineer will partner with the GT Controls NPI Development and Requisition teams throughout the controls design and fulfillment processes. They will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of the GT Controls Standards including developing controls features, incorporating lessons learned, validation testing, and configuration management of the Standards.
In addition, the Lead GT Controls Standards Development Engineer will:
Collaborate with the GT Controls NPI Development team to guide new system and feature designs early in the NPI process to help drive good design decisions in relation to standards development and maintenance
Support the GT Controls NPI Development team with integrating new systems and features into the GT Standards
Partner with Technical Leaders, Standards Architects, and Controls CTH’s to coordinate consistent solutions across all GT controls frames and standards
Collaborate with and maintain close, responsive, and productive working relationship with the Controls requisition team to ensure the Controls Standards are delivering on project needs
Support development and integration of Product Cost Out (PCO) and Pivot to Value (P2V) Initiatives into the GT Controls Standards
Utilize Lean principals to drive continuous improvement into the GT Controls Standards
Work with the Product Owner to plan and prioritize Sprint development to meet PI commitments
Provide clear communication of development status to the team and business leaders
Required Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical or Computer)
Minimum 5 years working experience in engineering

Desired Characteristics
MS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical or Computer)
3+ years of GE Power Generation Controls Standards development experience (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Plant) with demonstrated knowledge of GE ToolboxST application code programming with Mark*VIe controllers
Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework Scrum team
Enthusiastic self-starter who leads by example, sets stretch goals and is committed to team building
Proven oral and written communication skills, and experience presenting to both business leaders and team members
The base pay range for this position is 88,600.00 - 147,600.00 USD Annual . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% bonus.
