We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Coatings team in Greenville, OH.

BASF’s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, decorative paints as well as applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates in a wide range of industries. This portfolio is supplemented by "Beyond Paint Solutions", which enable new applications with innovative surfaces.
Under the direct supervision of the Greenville Site Supply Chain Manager, this position is responsible for material movements, managing the onsite warehouse, and compliance with BASF policies procedures related to staging as well as provide support for shipping and receiving. The successful candidate will be detail oriented and highly organized to understand and follow defined processes and procedures and at times will serve as a BASF primary point of contact for internal customers and partners.
Our dedicated Supply Chain Team communicates with confidence and reacts quickly to resolve customers' issues. Whether it's answering a service question, directing customers to the BASF product expert, or following up on a shipment, we consider our Logistics Team to be our problem solving and solution "champions", delivering winning results to internal and external customers.
What you'll do...
Ensure all material is staged on time and 100% accurate.
Coordinate staging activities with optimal manpower efficiency and ensure coverage for manufacturing 24/7. You will also support on time shipments to customers as well as solid warehouse receiving practices.
Ensure that all operations are conducted safely and according to all BASF and government standards.
Conduct operations efficiently and within prescribed budgets. You will also control costs and look for opportunities to reduce operating costs.
Manage inventory (bulk and package), cycle count process, and work with the inventory coordinator to ensure accuracy of information regarding all materials and MRO items.
Demonstrate basic process safety knowledge as well as the ability to identify and assess risks in everyday operations and understand the protective measures and emergency responses for the unit processes and the interaction of Process Safety procedures. You will also support Process Safety programs through participation in compliance audits, Capital Project Reviews, Regulatory PHAs (Revalidations, Clean-Sheets) and other hazard / risk assessment activities, assure associates that support process safety programs have the requisite experience/skills, and participate in process safety related incident investigations and complete assigned action items in a timely manner.

Primary EHS Responsibilities

Report all accidents and incidents into the accident reporting database in a timely manner.

If you...
BA/BS degree in Business or Logistics preferred. Minimally high school diploma and sufficient related work experience in a warehouse or similar manufacturing environment.
People management and leadership experience with change management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision - After-hours support as needed as we are a 24/7 operation.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure. Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills and digital mindset.
Excellent MS-Excel skills; SAP and knowledge of querying/database/spreadsheet applications.
Although not required, certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society is highly desired.
