Responsibilities:

This list of functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as required by changes in the requirements of the position.

  • Assists the County Auditor with various duties of the Auditor's Office.

  • Prepares correspondence, Budgets, Certifications to all Taxing Districts.

  • Attend Meetings, take meeting minutes, and prepare final minutes.

  • Board of Revision gather documentation, mailings, attends meetings, minutes, data entry for all correspondence.

  • Special Assessments- track revenue and expenses, work closely with Ditch Maintenance Manager to prepare ditch assessment percentages in August. Maintain         all spreadsheets for ditch maintenance and special assessments.

  • Assure all prior year documentation is micro-filmed.

  • Maintain and update Auditor Website with correspondence for all taxing districts.

  • Responsible for scheduling meetings (BOR, Budget Commission, Budget Hearings, and any re-organization meetings).

  • Preparing Estimated Resources and/or Appropriation changes for all taxing districts.

  • Prepare & submit all state reporting requirements (Census, Monthly Cigarette Sales, etc.)

  • Maintain all spreadsheet with any changes to Clerk/Treasurer List for all Districts.

  • Update all DTE forms.

  • Answers phones and greets office visitors, providing information and assistance, taking messages, or transferring/directing to appropriate individual or department.

  • Interpret variety of instructions in written, oral, picture or schedule form; cooperate with co-workers.

  • Must be able to work in a fast pace environment, multi task, detailed oriented, and able to meet deadlines.

  • Strong Math skills

  • Understand percentages, tax rates, and mileages.

  • Excellent letter writing skills.

*Work Schedule: *40 hrs. /week; Attends meetings and as required.

EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Efficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word): 2 year plus (Required)
