Location/Division Specific Information:
- The position is located in the United States at our Greenville, North Carolina site, which is a multi-purpose pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and packaging campus.
How will you make an impact?
- This position is responsible to safely operate, maintain, modify, install and repair all the facilities heating, (steam, hot water, and electric) ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC systems), including controls, exhaust equipment, Environmental Management Control Systems (ECMS), and perform High Efficient Air Filter testing. Provide support in coordinating and prioritizing work orders, performing assigned work tasks; works with all other maintenance mechanics and complete tasks in a timely and to skill set standards.
Responsibilities:
Performs assigned task in accordance with approved procedures.
Perform monitoring, adjustments, and troubleshooting using the Building Management Systems (BMS)
Maintain HVAC, Refrigeration, and HEPA equipment on an ongoing basis as part of the facilities preventive maintenance and reliability program
Adherence to preventative and corrective maintenance schedules.
Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems and equipment.
Maintain, repair, clean, adjust, and/or install centralized plant equipment
Provide support and expertise to the Engineering and Capital project teams.
Proficiency with brazing and soldering copper
Ability to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively and collaboratively with the team and customers.
Ability to plan and organize work and understand the importance of priority of work tasks and the willingness to perform all assigned tasks within their ability.
Ability and willingness to work rotational shift, if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
Assist to help maintain and enter HEPA certifications and equipment calibration results into Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS),
Work in accordance with established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and site cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) as per CFR 21.
Follow federal state, and local codes.
Assist in creating job plans, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and JSA (Job Safety Analysis)).
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
3 years’ experience maintaining HVAC/R equipment.
Preferred experience working in a regulated or GxP industry.
Skills and Preferences:
Attention to detail, organization, and determination in delivering excellent service to our clients.
Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Building Maintenance Systems (BMS)
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Work in a clean-room which is a controlled environment for temperature and humidity having low ambient noise.
Ability to work in extreme climates.
Wear gowning which includes gloves, hair & beard net, and face cover.
Frequent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); i.e., glasses, gloves, safety shoes, and fall protection.
Lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds max unassisted; frequent lifting and manipulating weights of 10-35 pounds unassisted.
Frequent standing, sitting, and movements to include reaching, stooping, bending, and grasping.
Frequent use of hand tools and equipment including forceful gripping, grasping, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to work at elevated heights from a ladder or other means.
