How you will make an impact
The position focuses on the safe, compliant, efficient, and accurate receipt of materials for warehouse operations. Some primary tasks are to complete inventory transactions, perform cycle counting as necessary and as directed by departmental supervision. Provide effective, efficient, and accurate preparation of orders for internal customers. Cross training within the other ULS team positions is a possibility. Help to support production activities while maintaining a safe workplace and strict adherence to all aspects of regulatory compliance.
What you will do
Performs duties that include receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts
Operates Forklifts in a safe and efficient manner for receiving, moving, and putting away various materials.
Maintains accurate inventory in SAP in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP’s). Assists with physical inventory of the warehouse as required.
Operates various devices such as scanners, push carts and pallet jacks.
Ensures that all physical material, batches, quantities and locations are in sync with SAP.
Communicates with senior any customer issues and/or potential problems.
Work independently and as a team as necessary by job requirements.
Adopts Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
How will you get here
Must possess a High School Diploma.College degree preferred, but not required.
Minimum 6 months Fork truck driving experience – preferred
Be self motivated to get job done
Detail oriented, problem solver, promotes team environment
Computer/software skills (i.e. Outlook, SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated verbal, written and presentation skills
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
SAP Inventory Management knowledge and warehouse experience preferred.
Ability to lift, push and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 lbs.
Will be required to wear steel toe shoes
Displays a high level of confidentiality for both customer and Fisher.
Must maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Works primarily at customer locations, in and around shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, storage locations and possibly laboratory environments.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment under pressure, able to multi-task.
Extensive walking may be required.
May pass through areas where chemical based allergens may be in use
Depending on area of building, personal protective equipment may be worn to include lab coats, coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets, safety gloves, and safety glasses.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
