System One Lead Mechanical Engineer in Greentree, Pennsylvania
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for planning, organizing and execution of various aspects of mechanical engineering, piping engineering and design support. This will include participating as a member of dynamic project teams with a wide range of types of tasks. The position will provide the opportunity to work in the Metals industry.
Responsibilities:
Perform all or some of the following: organize/plan jobs, write/review specifications, write technical bid evaluations, prepare/maintain schedules, develop/monitor estimates and manpower forecasts, work with project/client/field, material procurement, permit, and subcontract activities.
Utilize vendor data and work with personnel from other disciplines as required for the performance of designs. Utilize/perform squad checks of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines.
Exhibit thorough understanding of pertinent codes and governing regulations and industry practices, etc.
Preparation of Scope of Work and construction work packages (CWP’s).
Preparation of Scope of Work and Contractor Bid documentation packages.
Assisting in the ongoing development of internal systems to improve our quality and efficiency of delivering effective projects to clients.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Site experience within the Metals industry.
10 years + experience as an Mechanical Engineer.
Solidworks & AutoCad.
Equipment Design, conveyors experience.
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Project).
