Greensburg YMCA Child Care Director in GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania
The Greensburg YMCA is currently seeking a Child Care Director who will be responsible for oversight of child care services ensuring the health, safety, and enrichment of children in care.

The Greensburg YMCA is looking for candidates with experience in running a day care, knowledgeable of licensing requirements and the Keystone STARS program, and with administrative skills.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and implementation of Pennsylvania DHS Licensing and STARS requirements.
- Maintain classroom and center space according to DHS regulations.
- Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers.
- Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills with staff and parents preferred.
- Reviews and evaluates staff performance.
- Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
Follow and implement policies and procedures related to Health and Safety (including but not limited to COVID protocols, illness policy, injury and illness).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field AND one year experience with children; OR a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field AND two years of experience with children; OR an associate's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and three years of experience with children.
- MUST have ability to work a flexible schedule.
Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include: completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens. Completion of YMCA program-specific trainings.
