ManpowerGroup Test Engineer Associate in Greensboro, North Carolina
Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking a motivated Test Engineer Associate to join their growing team. As a Test Engineer Associate, you'll play a vital role in the Quality Engineering Department, supporting the development of new complete vehicles. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem-solver with a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and a desire to learn.
Job Title: Test Engineer Associate
Location: Greensboro, NC
Pay Range: $38-41/hr
What’s the Job?
Assist with planning, scheduling, and executing tests to verify and validate new vehicle designs.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to design engineers and technicians based on testing results.
Estimate testing costs and determine the appropriate testing methods for assigned projects.
Conduct various tests including brake performance, suspension articulation, vehicle weight analysis, and water tightness.
Analyze test data and document results and conclusions in engineering reports.
Manage outsourced brake performance testing with external suppliers.
Support other test engineers in areas like noise testing, vehicle dynamics, and fuel economy (as needed).
What’s Needed?
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
1-3 years of experience in a related field, with automotive experience preferred.
Experience using data acquisition equipment and data analysis tools.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a desire to take on new challenges.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with Baja or Formula SAE competitions (a plus).
