A Manufacturing Product Preparation Engineer is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. This job ensures smooth product transition from development to production by coordinating requirements, verifying standards, and managing changes.

salary: $38.59 - 45.61 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

  • Responsible for transitioning products from development into full production readiness

  • Ensure that Product Development and Technology teams deliver a verified product aligned with the company's Production System and Future Factory Concept

  • Establish clear and shared product requirements for the designated area of responsibility

  • Coordinate and initiate activities of Manufacturing Solution Engineers within production

  • Ensure that product changes are introduced into the industrial system smoothly and according to set targets

  • Create requirements and specifications for production test tools, working either directly with development teams or in collaboration with product test engineers

  • May develop and define a product support plan as needed

  • Applies practical knowledge gained through education and work experience (typically 2 to 5 years of relevant experience required)

  • Works independently with general supervision, handling difficult (but typically not complex) problems

  • May influence others within the job area by explaining facts, policies, and practices
