What you will do

The District Parts Manager is responsible for achieving the financial objectives for Mack/Volvo parts sales within their assigned district. This is accomplished through implementing strategic business plans with the Dealers for which they are responsible and achieving these plans with a focus on wholesale and retail growth.

This position typically spends four days per week in their territory interfacing with assigned dealers and customers. They engage with the dealer decision makers, including principals and C-Suite members working on the largest opportunities as they become a strategic resource supporting short and long-term sales objectives.

This position must be located near a major airport in the following states: Washington, California, Oregon, Utah, Arizona, Montana, Idaho or Wyoming.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Achieve annual incremental growth targets as provided by Mack and Volvo Trucks.

• Build relationships within the dealership starting at the Dealer Principal and including Parts, Service, Sales and Leasing leadership and decision makers.

• Agree upon and implement strategic growth-oriented business plans that are aligned and supported by the primary dealership decision maker.

• Pursue key sales drivers to include face to face meetings with dealer three to four days per week, detailed call reports in Sales Force documenting visits and manage Sales Force pipeline on all active opportunities.

• Drives sales activities within assigned dealerships that grow Mack/Volvo dealer parts sales and market share by following specific sales processes outline by IMPAX (training provided).

• Meets at least once per quarter with Dealer Principal and key management to review parts sales activities and results.

• Build cross-functional relationships with peers within the region and district; this includes truck sales, service, finance, leasing and used truck.

• Develop internal support network within Mack and Volvo Trucks to assist in driving results.

• Trains and implements MAPP (Market Area Parts Potential) Sales Management process.

• Drives dealer network retail sales growth by coaching and training Outside Parts Salespeople (OPS) and Parts Managers in the areas of sales, opportunity management, account segmentation, merchandising, pricing, operations, risk management and business performance.

• Increases Mack/Volvo dealer utilization of PartsASIST, the company’s ecommerce platform.

• Administers parts price concessions to allow to Mack/Volvo dealer to respond to specific competitive market conditions.

• Resolves dealer and fleet issues to best possible resolution.

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

• 5 years’ experience in heavy duty truck, automotive or related industry.

• Previous sales experience in the transportation industry preferred.

Other Requirements

• Frequent travel – Minimum of 75% or meeting with dealers and customers 4 days per week.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base salary range is set at $92,500 to $133,875, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
