This position is responsible for completing all collections activities for accounts within the whole business. The AR Manager will be accountable for reducing customer delinquency through phone calls and/or correspondence in a fast-paced, goal-oriented department. They must have effective communication with customer, Sales Organization and Management as these are critical for the success within this role.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:

  • All accounts receivable staff including Accounts Receivable Specialists and Collections Specialists
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and mentoring; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:

  • Responsible for leading a team of collections and cash applications specialists and managing the whole AR process flow
  • Provide customer service when addressing collections issues, client discrepancies and short payments
  • Responsible for running monthly statements
  • Document daily collections activity
  • Reduce customer DSO below 45 days and accounts receivable delinquency below 25%
  • Attend AR review meetings and provide reporting on materially aging accounts and dispute tracking
  • Enlist the efforts of the Sales Organization, Operations, and the Treasurer when necessary to accelerate the collections process
  • Communicate and follow up effectively with the Sales Organization and Operations regarding customer disputes and account statuses
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, legal regulations, and recommended best practices
  • Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company's mission and values

WORK HOURS:Monday thru Friday overtime/weekends as required

Qualifications

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of high-volume collections related experience
  • Proficiency with computer devices (including laptops and smart phones) and working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and/or NetSuite
  • Ability to pass drug screening
  • Ability to prove US employment eligibility
