Essential Job Duties: The Machine Operator (3rd shift) operates machines that finish the ends of pipes. These products are then sent to the next phases of the process. The operator is responsible for producing a quality product. The Auto Thread Operator is responsible for loading the machines with pieces of pipe that have been cut to a specified length per the production schedule (cut blanks). Some machines must be "hand-fed" by the operator. The operator uses his/her hands to pick up the cut blanks out of the tub and place them into the machine loading magazine (above shoulder reach). Other machines are fed automatically as the operator uses a rake to pull cut blanks into a large bowl that rotates and loads them into the machines. The operator is responsible for running up to six machines based on production demands. The operator must periodically check the pipe nipples for quality using a certified ring gage. The pipe nipples must meet the required specifications. Cuttings are pushed into the harpoon system beneath the machines where they are ground into small pieces. The operator maintains a clean and safe machine and work area. The operator must also perform required maintenance checks. All operators are responsible for keeping accurate production records, which are recorded in the computer planning system. The operator is responsible for meeting established production standards. 3rd shift hours: Sunday through Friday, 10:30pm to 6:30am Benefits & Compensation:

• • Starting pay rate $20.30 to $21.50

• • Requires constant standing and walking (up to 10 hours per day)
• • Repetitive use of both hands (up to 10 hours per day)
• • Requires repetitive twisting
• • Repetitive reaching at and above shoulder level and bending at the waist
• • Working with water soluble coolant
• • An awareness of exposed cuttings and moving parts on the machine
• • Lifting up to 30 lbs.
