BAY VIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL School Nutrition Assistant in GREEN BAY, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Under the direction and supervision of the School Nutrition Production Supervisor, may assist with food preparation, serving, clean-up and sanitizing food service facility and equipment. This position is mainly located at Bay View Middle School but floats to other buildings as needed. Scheduled hours are 7:45 am to 01:30 pm, Monday thru Friday. Start date is September 3, 2024 or as soon as possible. Wage starting at \$16.75 with opportunity for increased compensation based on a variety of District and/or State requirements and qualifications. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware. Portion and wrap food, or place it directly on plates for service to patrons. Prepare a variety of foods, such as meats, vegetables, or desserts, according to customers\' orders or supervisors\' instructions, following approved procedures. Package take-out foods or serve food to customers. Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving. Carry food supplies, equipment, and utensils to and from storage and work areas. Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas. Inform supervisors when equipment is not working properly and when food and supplies are getting low, and order needed items. Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, and provide cooks with needed items. Add cutlery, napkins, food, and other items to trays on assembly lines in hospitals, cafeterias, airline kitchens, and similar establishments. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: High school degree/GED and previous work experience in food service preferred.
