How you will make contributions that matter... * Have a working knowledge of Safety Methods and Procedures. (i.e. Proper Lifting Techniques, Proper Knife Handling Techniques, Safety Data Sheet (SDS), etc.) * Assure the machines are run with all safety requirements and precautions, running optimally & meets established efficiency goals. * Support the activities of the Line Leadhand and Line Lead Assistant in their daily activities and decisions. * Ensure the machine is set up correctly and efficiently to provided specifications. * Neatly, accurately and legibly maintain all records and documentation. * Operate metal detectors as needed, including completing required paperwork. * Perform minor maintenance and/or Preventative Maintenance (PM) to equipment. * Promote and maintain accurate communications between Supervisors, Line Leads, Shipping, and Maintenance. * Minimize waste of supplies and cheese. Minimizes downtime. * Maintain positive attitude toward work and coworkers. * Adhere to all policies in the Employee Handbook, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), etc. * Other duties as required by management. You are best suited for the role if you... * Able to perform and understand basic math; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions. * Minimum of a High School degree or equivalent required; advanced technical training a plus. * Recent manufacturing experience as an operator demonstrating mechanical aptitude, 1-2 years preferred. * Experience in food production environment preferred, but not required. * Mechanical/Electrical skills preferred. * Good verbal and written communication skills with team members and all necessary departments. * Able to understand production schedules and Product Specifications. * Able to use hand and power tools. Working knowledge of harps and cutters required. * Good decision making and problem-solving abilities. Computer literate in MS Office; good computer skills needed to learn company systems. * Good decision making and problem-solving skills. * Able to follow instructions. * Able to stand/walk ten hours each shift or as needed.
