Actalent Low Voltage Field Technician in Green Bay, Wisconsin

Job Title: Field Technician

Job Description

Your primary duties include assisting with specialty security systems installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within commercial, industrial, and residential settings. You should be customer-oriented, confident in asking questions for discovery, able to work independently, effectively take directions, and responsible for task completion.

Hard Skills

  • Service and inspect digital video surveillance and related systems

  • Service and troubleshoot cameras

  • Service and inspect burglar alarm, fire alarm, access control, and related systems

  • Ability to use mobile apps in the field and work with a remote team to get systems up and running

  • Networking

  • Switch and router setup

  • Configuration

  • Basic IT knowledge

  • PC construction

  • PC builds

  • Low voltage cabling knowledge

  • Can read a floorplan

  • Follow a schematic

  • Proficient in Microsoft OS and Linux system

Soft Skills

  • Customer-oriented

  • Confident in asking questions for discovery

  • Able to work independently

  • Effectively take directions

  • Responsible for task completion

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

This is a field service role - the techs will be fixing broken cameras, not working on new installs. Offices in Green Bay, Madison, and MKE
