Job Title: Chemical Blending Technician
Job Description
Responsible for assisting with the overall safe, efficient and continuous operation of assigned blending responsibilities and equipment on a daily basis, based on company standards. Ensure that quality products are produced in the appropriate quantity and within the established guidelines. Work as a productive leader/member of the manufacturing team and independently. Keep blending equipment sanitized. Maintain and monitor water systems and waste water disposal. Monitor all production to ensure requirements are met. Significant physicality to role including continuously lifting 50lb throughout the duration of the 12 hour shift.
Perform cleaning and sanitization of process equipment and blending areas.
Conduct chemical raw material inventories as needed.
Perform written and verbal communication with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing personnel using process measurement data recorded in Quality Windows and Out-of-Specification (OOS) variable/attribute testing when necessary.
Place all non-conforming items on hold using company Hold/Reject process.
Assist in the root cause determination, corrective action taken, and documentation process.
Comply with all processes and procedures for all applicable regulatory agencies.
Proper handling and disposal of chemicals and understanding the GHS codes
A working understanding of the Shop Orders and Bill of Materials.
Understand and comply with all lockout/tag-out procedures.
Must work in a safe and ethical manner at all times.
Follow all sanitary practices for sampling of process equipment, materials and assets.
Trained and qualified to perform work on the following laboratory equipment for solution testing:
pH meter
Chlorine meter
Hard Skills
Mathematically competent
Computer literate
Experience in chemical industry preferred
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Work Environment
Temperature controlled manufacturing setting. 2 Shifts available: 12 hour shifts, 6pm-6am. 12 hour shifts 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.
