JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21412 JOB DETAILS: WORKING TITLE: Assistant Teaching Professor - Human Biology UW SYSTEM OFFICIAL TITLE: Teaching Assistant Professor POSTING DATE: November 12, 2024 START DATE: August 25, 2025 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The University of Wisconsin - Green Bay Human Biology program is seeking applicants for an Assistant Teaching Professor of Human Biology (Anatomy & Physiology). The successful applicant will contribute to an academic unit which is interdisciplinary in nature and has a strong history of preparing students for careers in health professions. This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay\'s mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds. This position includes the following responsibilities: Teaching a course load of 27 credits (\9 courses) per academic year in Anatomy and Physiology with opportunities to teach other courses in the Human Biology program. Primary teaching responsibility will be to teach a two-semester sequence of Anatomy and Physiology lecture and lab. Additional teaching assignments could include introductory and upper-level courses in Human Biology. Service responsibilities include advising students and contributing to departmental and institutional development. SPECIAL NOTES: The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to teach a course or work at the Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus, based on operational needs. Position is a full-time, academic year, Instructional Academic Staff appointment. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s).
