FGF Key Account Manager - Robert Shapiro & Associates in Greater Toronto Area, Ontario

We are currently seeking a Key Account Manager to join Robert Shapiro & Associates located at 1030 Sheppard Avenue West, Toronto, Ontario.

Robert Shapiro & Associates is a Toronto based Food Brokerage company. We are a service orientated brokerage company that has been in operation since 2002.

Our area of expertise including Bakery, Deli, HMR, Frozen Boxed meats, Poultry, Seafood, Frozen Grocery, and Dry Goods.

We handle all selling aspects of each account with our principles and get directly involved in shaping the strategies and following through with precise execution with our Principles and the Major Grocery Retailers that we partner with in Canada.

The Key Account Manager – This individual will manage the day-to-day deliverables and customer relationships on some of our Grocery Retail partners. The successful candidate will have exposure to key strategic customers and the capabilities of the RSA business while building cross-functional connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own both internal and customer deliverables for key Canadian Grocery Retail accounts

  • Effectively assist with development and communication of account plans to stakeholders, between our Principles and Retail Partners, to ensure plans are successfully executed

  • Coordinate the involvement between Principles & Retailers to support both to achieve mutual performance objectives

  • Build analytics using multiple data sources to provide pragmatic recommendations

  • Manage promotional planning and trade spend to deliver quarterly and annual top- and bottom-line targets

  • Manage costing adjustment reviews, discussions and negotiations

  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor with key customer stakeholders

  • Act as internal subject matter expert on account performance and customer best practices

  • Support internal annual business planning and joint business planning with customers

  • Some travel may be required (GTA/Canada/US).

Job requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Business/Commerce or relevant field

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, and/or Category Management, preferably from Grocery Retail industry; must have customer-facing experience

  • Working knowledge of retail data platforms such as IRI Unify, Nielsen Answers, and Numerator Promotions Intel

  • Strong analytical capabilities with aptitude in MS Excel and PowerPoint to generate insightful reports and presentation

  • Self-motivated individual with a high energy level and a progressive business attitude

  • Proven ability to effectively navigate organizational complexity, respond to new situations with flexibility, and excel in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills in order to support the Principles and Retailers mutual performance objectives

  • Ability to work in a highly organized fashion where detail, accuracy, urgency, and balancing priorities are critical
