WSP USA Senior Engineer - Associate Engineer - Vertical Transportation in Greater Manchester, United Kingdom

To be a member of our specialist Vertical Transportation Consultancy team delivering solutions to external and internal clients. The position will be based at one of our UK offices but may require UK or International travel from time to time.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design and creation of VT strategies for new and existing buildings

  • Lift traffic analysis,

  • Design reports and presentations,

  • Preparation of specifications, drawings and contract documents,

  • Asset Management,

  • Interfacing between Lift Contractors and our clients,

  • Approval process,

  • On-site supervision and inspections of installed equipment and completed projects

  • Site surveys and report preparation,

  • Advise on refurbishment solutions to achieve equipment longevity, reliability and maintainability.

Key competencies and skills should include:

  • Good communication and organisational skills with colleagues and clients,

  • Meticulous approach to work output,

  • Good team work ethics,

  • Solid IT skills especially: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. plus Adobe Acrobat or other pdf writer/reader,

  • CAD,

  • Ability to write clear and precise technical reports,

  • A confident approach to Client relationships,

  • Commercial Acumen,

  • Adaptability and the ability to learn.

We have established ourselves as the UK’s leading Rail Station designer, with the UKs largest new build stations designed and specified by WSP.

  • Technical lifts and escalator experience from within the Vertical Transportation Industry.

  • Degree/Masters would be advantageous but not prerequisite

  • Career aspiration to develop and grow.
