About the Opportunity
Nuclear Power Programmes is one of the newest Business Units and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power.
Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, we are seeking to expand our team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development. To do this, we are seeking to continuously employ talented individuals to join our diverse team that are excited about nuclear projects and are committed to Net Zero, and Energy Security.
We are seeking a Baseline and Change Management Lead, you will have significant knowledge of Project Controls functions and your purpose is to be able to carry out assurance activities within Baseline and Change Management without a reliance on the functional leads within Project Controls. This knowledge and your previous experience on major programmes and projects will enable you to assure and recommend edits to change request narratives, so that Change Forms all have a consistent style, and context narrative to answer the ‘So What?’ question for Managers and Leadership. You'll be able to demonstrate previous experience of providing narrative and presentations for multiple levels in a Programme, Project or Business from Delivery Teams and Functions through to Boards and Investors. Key responsibilities will be:
Strategic leadership and line management of the Baseline and Change Management Lead Function
Establishment of a Baseline and Change Management Framework and embedment within SZC
Delivery and advancement of ‘Digital by Default’ for the Baseline and Change Management Function
Build and maintain a high performing team with direct line management and functional management of resources deployed into the SZC delivery teams
Accountable for the on-time production and quality of all month end data sets and performance reports related to Baseline and Change Management
Ensure SZC is viewed by the Construction Industry as an exemplar in Baseline and Change Management through knowledge sharing, networking and delivering presentations to the sector
Management of stakeholders across SZC from Board to Delivery
Expertise in the field of Estimating
Experience of working within any of the Project Controls Functions of: cost control, scheduling, change management and risk management
A robust understanding configuration management, WBS and delivery structures and their impact and/or integration with change management
Active membership of AACE, PMI, APM or similar association with association certifications
Detailed understanding of earned value analysis
Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status
Experience in the Nuclear sector or other highly regulated industry
