AT&T Senior System Engineer (Government) in Great Falls, Virginia

AT&T has an opening for a Senior System Engineer to support Development, design and deployment of unique communications capabilities based on existing, scalable communications services.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Work with a team of Subject Matter Experts and Fed Gov customers to develop, deploy, operate and maintain unique communications capabilities based on existing, scalable communications services.

Required Clearance

TS/SCI with poly (#tssci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications:

  • Infrastructure Requirements

  • Hypervisor Construction, Deployment and Management Experience

  • Virtual Networking Proficiency

  • Firewall Rules Development, Deployment, and Management Experience

  • Network Address Translation (NAT), Development, Deployment and Management Proficiency

  • Proxy Service Development, Deployment, and Management Proficiency

  • Ability to write scripts on various Operating Systems, particularly Linux and Windows

  • Networking

  • 10+ years Cisco router experience and certification –

  • Must have a deep understanding and proficiency in layer 2 and 3 routing, to include scripting and debugging for deployment

  • 10+ years Routing protocols (BGP, Static) experience

  • 10+ years Network Design

  • Personal Skill Requirements

  • Technical troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Abilities

  • Ability to work in Team based settings

  • Ability to Self-Manage Time and Workload to accomplish business needs

  • Ability to Communicate Effectively across multiple technical skill levels

  • Ability to communicate and work in a direct “Customer Facing” role

Deployment, operations, and troubleshooting experience

Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years in telecom transport networking preferred

Our Senior System Engineer's earn between $110,000 - $160,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
