About the Role

The Senior Director Finance Systems and IT Solutions at Magna IT is responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of all Finance systems, including Onestream, Capital tracking, and other finance-related applications, across all Magna plants worldwide as well as driving the implementation for further Functional systems forward. The role also oversees the integration, testing and automation processes across the different systems.

This role requires a deep understanding of functional processes, technology solutions, and the ability to lead a global team.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Enterprise Business solutions, aligning with Magna's overall finance and business objectives.

• Oversee the implementation and integration of Functional systems across all Magna plants globally.

• Ensure successful deployment of IT solutions, meeting project timelines, budget, and quality standards

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system configurations, workflows, and data integration requirements.

• Lead a global team of Functional solution, integration, and testing/automation experts, providing guidance, coaching, and support.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

• Build strong relationships with functional leaders, plant managers, and other key stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of IT solution initiatives.

• Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance and recommendations on system enhancements and process improvements.

• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and data privacy requirements in IT systems.

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT solutions, implementing appropriate controls and security measures

• Manage relationships with IT system vendors, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to service level agreements,

evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to optimize value and ensure alignment with Magna's requirements.

Who we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on Finance systems, including Onestream, Capital tracking, and other finance-related applications, other systems are an asset

• Strong knowledge of finance and business processes and reporting.

• Proven experience in successfully implementing and managing Finance and other systems in a global organization.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

• Experience in managing large-scale projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
