River House, Inc House Advocate in Grayling, Michigan
River House is looking for 1 Full-Time employee (36-40hrs/wk) to work with our residential clients in shelter. House Advocates are responsible for meeting with clients, answering the crisis line, and light housekeeping to nurture safety for our clients that are fleeing intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and intimate partner stalking. Full-time advocates also rotate in an on-call schedule for transporting clients into shelter or meeting clients at the hospital or police department in emergency situations.
This is an entry level position with paid training. Applicants must possess a High School Diploma/GED/ or equivalent. Candidates will undergo a background check and possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
This position pays $11.50/hr + $0.25/shift premium for night shift, and mileage reimbursement for on-call transportation. This position is primarily weeknights and/or weekends (3)12 hour shifts per week and 2 meetings per month. A mock schedule will be provided at interview.
Full-time employees receive Paid Time Off on an accrual basis(PTO) after probationary period, and are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
