Belcan is actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a key client in the diesel engine manufacturing industry. This role, based in Graniteville, South Carolina, provides an opportunity to drive innovation and excellence in the remanufacturing processes at an established company in the automotive and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities:
Analyze product designs to determine the best methods for remanufacture, including the specification of tools, equipment, and processes.
Lead the design and fabrication of new tools and equipment or recommend enhancements to existing processes.
Provide essential technical support to maintenance, manufacturing, and other operational groups.
Prepare thorough proposals, designs, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Engage actively in team settings and cross-functional groups to foster collaborative problem-solving.
Develop and implement statistically based controls and manufacturing strategies to enhance process capability and productivity.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
Manage special project initiatives as needed, aimed at continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Experience in processing machined components, tool design, and tool engineering.
Strong analytical skills to address complex problems effectively.
Excellent interpersonal abilities to collaborate with team members.
Proficient understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and methods.
Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to travel as required by the role.
Proficiency with PC and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with MTU plant operations, equipment, and products.
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Completion of company-recommended training programs.
Deep understanding of ISO/QS-9000 quality standards.
Proficiency in SAP software.
