Heavy Duty/ Diesel Mechanic
Our team is currently looking for an experienced Mechanic to keep our fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, pickups, trailers and support equipment properly maintained and operational. In this role, the successful candidate will perform truck & equipment repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. Wage: \$30.00/ DOE, benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement profit sharing plan, and paid holidays. This position is Full Time 40+ hours per week, based out of our Grangeville Idaho shop, but may need to travel to project sites for repairs or maintenance as needed.
Job Description
Practice safe work habits and encourage others to do the same
Diagnose, repair, and maintain different pieces of equipment and trucks
Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers
Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes
Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop
Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
Have appropriate tooling for the position
Service Calls: From time to time be dispatched to jobsites to repair equipment in company supplied shop trucks
General Requirements
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as random screenings
Verifiable experience as a Mechanic
Valid CDL license preferred not required
Excellent reading and writing skills
ASE Diesel Certification an asset not required
Supply own commonly available tools
