Group Summary

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.

About the Role

Perform and analyze product testing of warranty returns. Aid in the development of efficient and effective systems to receive, analyze, interpret, and report out warranty parts and data. Provide input on warranty problems and recommend process and design changes, if necessary. Assist in customer- driven root cause analysis. Visually/functionally inspect warranty part returns and assist in determining disposition on any non-conforming product. Perform other duties as necessary including computer spreadsheet and database entry and reporting.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform product testing using a variety of different methods and audit products and processes to ensure system compliance with customer requirements/specifications

  • Provide input on causes or reasons for quality problems and recommend process or design changes if necessary

  • Gather and summarize data for monthly quality reports and properly handle and dispose of any hazardous waste material in proper areas

  • Work with other engineering departments to develop effective analysis processes

  • Analyze computerized and/or manual data and ensure customer-provided data is accurate

  • Perform quality system audits in support of Company and customer standards

Who we are looking for

  • Ability to work without direct supervision

  • Demonstrates strong written/verbal communication skills to communicate with internal and external contacts

  • Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot, update and work on all processes/testing/customers in designated area of responsibility

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills to work on complex projects independently under minimal work direction

Your preferred qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field OR equivalent schooling and work experience

  • Advanced SPC skills to analyze, draw conclusions and recommend course of action

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds or more
