Mel Trotter Ministry Social Media Intern in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Mel Trotter Ministries is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join the Communications team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management and short-form video creation.
Responsibilities:
- Create and curate content for our social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn
- Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement and followers
- Create and edit videos/reels for social media
- Analyze and report on social media metrics to track the success of campaigns
- Stay up-to-date and research industry trends and changes in social media algorithms
- Attend events with the purpose of capturing photo and video content
Requirements/Essential Skills:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with social media management and short-form video content creation
- Familiar with Canva and similar programs is a plus
- Basic knowledge of video production and editing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for social media and digital marketing
