Polk People Ops Program Coordinator - U.P. in Grand Rapids, Michigan

JA's programs in the core content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century.

 

We are embarking on an exciting journey with the establishment of a groundbreaking Free Enterprise Center, serving a vast region across 50 counties. To support this growth, we are seeking multiple Program Coordinators in various locations who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our educational programs. You will work to foster positive relationships with volunteers, businesses, educators, and school personnel, facilitating the delivery of our programs to enhance financial literacy among youth.

 

What you will do:

· Support educators in implementing Michigan's personal finance graduation requirements

· Renew commitments of veteran consultants through effective communication and scheduling

· Recruit and place new volunteers by cultivating relationships with individuals, businesses, and civic organizations

· Establish partnerships with local agencies and national JA partners for volunteer support

· Introduce JA programs to new schools and facilitate staff orientation

· Collaborate with high schools to provide JA programming that fulfill financial literacy graduation requirements

· Assist in promoting volunteer opportunities through various channels and partnerships

· Ensure all volunteers receive necessary training and support

· Maintain accurate records in our database management system

· Provide timely support to educators, volunteers, and liaisons

· Collect and assist in processing class registrations and documentation

· Contribute to the planning and execution of educational events

· Collaborate with the district direct and assist in funding initiatives

· Participate in advisory board meetings and provide necessary documentation

· Plan and execute volunteer recognition and retention events as needed

· Attend scheduled meetings and events as required

 

Our ideal candidate will have:

· Bachelor's degree in business or education preferred

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Excellent presentation and salesmanship skills

· Ability to stay organized and plan effectively

· Proficient problem-solving abilities

· Computer literacy, including database query design and execution

· Reliable transportation to travel between locations

Salary: $45,000.00 per year
