Corewell Health Manager Graduate Medical Education Well-Being in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring well-being programming and support for compliance with ACGME requirements for all three residency programs. Work closely with the DIOs, GEMC and PDs at each sponsoring institution to support the needs of the Well-Being program, identifying areas where shared resources and programs align while still supporting unique needs of each region. Leverage current system well-being programs while developing additional well-being programming as needed for GME. Oversee the roll out of the Well-Being index and follow up planning for GME. Ensure timely mental health support is available to all residents and fellows. Works closely with vendor partners in the development, delivery and evaluation of the GME wellness program to drive engagement, participation and satisfaction, moving all programs into a thriving culture of health. Assists in the development of strategic plans including annual calendar, budget, tracking and reporting.

Essential Functions

  • Delegates and prioritizes responsibilities & coordinates schedules for direct reports

  • Evaluate effectiveness of various wellbeing programs through culture change, engagement, participation, and satisfaction.

  • Incorporate the tenants of success from nationally-recognized wellbeing organizations/experts (WELCOA, National Wellness Institute, and Thriving Workplace Culture Certification) as foundational elements of wellbeing at Corewell Health.

  • In collaboration with the Director, manages all components of GME wellness programs including budget, metrics, and program development.

  • Manage vendor performance based on agreed upon objectives and work with internal resources to create a supportive environment for these vendor programs and initiatives.

  • Work closely with designated Corewell Health communications team to assist in the creative design, development and distribution of all wellbeing program communications.

  • Remain up-to-date with the latest health management trends and their effectiveness at building engagement, reducing health care costs and improving wellbeing. Research potential program changes and make recommendations on design, cost or administrative changes.

  • Partner closely with colleagues from other centers of expertise, including DEI and BeWell, to contribute to initiatives that impact residents and fellows.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree in worksite wellbeing, psychology, or associated health-related field

  • 5 years of leadership experience

Preferred

  • Masters degree

  • 10 years of experience in health promotion delivery. Familiarity with ACGME requirements and GME programs
