Description:
What the Mammography Technologist Will Do:
- Performs mammography examinations according to established procedures and guidelines. Performs and records the results of Quality Assurance and Quality control procedures in accordance with Federal, State, and accreditation governing bodies.
What the Mammography Technologist Will Need:
Minimum: Completion of American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technology Program.
Preferred: Bachelors of Science degree (BS)
C redentials/Licensure: Minimum American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification; registry eligible in mammography. Must maintain 24 continuing education credits per biennium to maintain registry status. Certification or re-certification in Basic Life support (BLS) within three months of hire.
Preferred: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification in mammography. Must maintain 15 continuing education credits per three years in Mammography to maintain registry.
One year of experience as a Registered Radiographer. Registry eligible in mammography.
Preferred: One year of mammography experience including3D mammography.
Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
Ability to deal with people of different ages, backgrounds, and educational levels.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a high-volume department while remaining organized and composed. Basic knowledge of computers/applications.
What You Will Work:
1 Saturday per month, 8 hour shift, day shift
Flexible schedule: Select Saturdays in advance.
