Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Controls Engineer for a 9-month contract-to-hire role with a custom machine build/automation company in the Walker area.
The primary responsibilities include programming PLCs in either Siemens or Allen Bradley. The role involves reading and editing designs as needed without the requirement to create new designs.
Travel:
25-30% max
approximately half of the travel being local and the rest within the US
All travel expenses will be covered.
Responsibilities
Program PLCs in Siemens or Allen Bradley from scratch.
Read and edit schematic prints in AutoCAD or Eplan.
Collaborate with the design and programming team.
Travel 25-30%, including both local and national trips, with all expenses covered.
MUST HAVE Qualifications
PLC programming from scratch in Siemens or Allen Bradley
Ability to read and edit schematic prints in AutoCAD or Eplan
"Nice to have" Qualifications
Experience with Robotics, including Fanuc and ABB
Knowledge of Vision Systems.
Experience in electrical design using AutoCAD Electrical.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
Work Environment
The role is based in a new facility with a collaborative environment and a large, clean shop floor.
The team consists of 10 other Controls Engineers and 3 supervisors.
The design and programming teams sit together to facilitate communication and collaboration.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
