Actalent Civil Transportation Engineer in Grand Rapids, Michigan
This Civil Transportation Engineer will specialize in roadway design and engineering. They will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers and be responsible for roadway design, drainage design and calculations, and the preparation of construction documents and plans.
Projects will include a variety of municipal and roadway projects.
Multi-discipline full service client within the engineering industry
Project variety within multiple sectors include municipal, transportation, industrial/commercial, and private development
Work from home once a week
Responsibilities:
Roadway geometric design
Drainage design
Traffic design and traffic staging plans
Construction plans, specifications, and bid documents for roadway and highway projects for DOT and local municipalities agency standards
Utility coordination and relocation
Storm water drainage design
Programs including MicroStation, InRoads, AutoTurn, Civil 3D, Roundabout
MUST HAVE:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
EIT or PE License
3+ years of experience in roadway design and drainage design for local municipalities or public DOT roadway / highway projects
Experience preparing construction plans, construction documents, and specifications
Experience with MicroStation, Bentley InRoads, AutoTURN, Roundabout, or Civil 3D
